Waking_Jean_BaptisteFrère eldest of Nyperking, Waking was born in 71, in Port-au-Prince. A third brother paints too. They took the same teacher's classes. Waking studied, speaks elegant French, took courses at E. N. Arts.
He has been painting since 1991, his technique is advanced, he paints with a knife. He read a lot of art books. He especially likes classical school. He paints while listening to Mozart, or American slows.
"I paint landscapes, marines, "raras" (tambourinaires), wonters (cockfights); civilization of my country. There are always political problems here, I have concern for this country and my future. I like to imagine fictitious things with voodoo feelings? Every person living here has a mystical feeling of voodoo. I don't yet have enough academic principles to arrive? We talk a lot with my brothers, ideas rub. »
