Mixed media, recovery and collages on canvas, 1997 49x79cm Lionel Paul Onel, born in 1966 in Haiti. Lionel Paul known as ONEL (recycler painter with strong symbolism). Onel belongs to the youngest generation (3rd wave) of the Saint Soleil movement of Soissons la Montagne. He is the only one to recycle the textile he uses in collage with acrylic paint. With Stivenson Magloire, he is one of those who go beyond the traditional modes of figuration of the movement to propose their own forms. 1966 - Birth in Soissons La Montagne of a farmer father and a farmer and trader mother. 1972 - Is introduced to painting in a small school in the locality where Tiga (Jean Claude Garoute), founder of the Saint Soleil movement, had introduced cultural rotation.
